Sunday, October 15 marked the first full practice of the year. It was open to Fast Break Club members, who turned out in force. Some faithful FBCers staffed tables to pass out official FBC shirts and accessories, and to sign up new recruits. The rest of us got our first look at the 2006-2007 team, including the fabulous four freshmen. The team did some warmups, drilled on some plays, and engaged in spirited scrimmages. Tara introduced this year's coaches and support staff, and then said a few words about each of the fourteen members of this year's squad. Bring on the season! [More Photos]

The news from last weekend's San Francisco Pro-Am semifinal games is mostly good, a little bad.The good news is simply that the Stanford frosh are the real deal: ready to be full productive team members -- possibly even starting players -- right out of the gate.Based on the Pro-Am, Tara and Amy are going to have the very pleasant dilemma of trying to figure out how to get all the available talent onto the floor.
