Wow! The Cardinal made a statement in
this second-to-last game before tournament
season begins.
Candice gave new meaning to the term "bird flu,"
flying straight from her sick bed to amass impressive
numbers in just 25 minutes: 29 points (seven 3-pointers),
4 rebounds, 4 assists and a block!
Brooke was on her game: 20 points, 7 rebounds,
2 steals. She only fell down once, and that was
when she took a charge.
June Daugherty tried to rally the Huskies,
but it just wasn't to be their night.
At half time Dave and Marian Cortesi enjoyed
the VIP reception put on by the team for
distinguished Fast Break Club volunteers.
New came on strong in the second half,
finishing with 12 points.
